Classes & Coaching
At Wellness & Writing Connections, we develop and deliver a number of different workshops, classes, and presentations that all incorporate Dr. Evans' approach to writing for health. Many workshops lead participants through five types of writing while some many focus on a single type of writing such as expressive writing or legacy writing.
Workshops have been delivered in a small classroom setting where 15 to 20 participants write through each of the exercises and share their reactions and impressions (rather than their writing) with the group. All writing in the workshops is personal writing and no one is ever pressured to sharing their writing, although some are interested in sharing. Some of the workshops have been delivered online as well. In the online format, participants share their writing only with the facilitator who then provides individual responses to the writing.
Presentations are often more general in nature and are customized to the audience. There may be a sample of a writing exercise someone using writing to heal might work through, but the presentations don't typically involve the same active participation or in depth work as the workshops and classes.
In addition to the group classes and workshops, Dr. Evans offers integrative health coaching for more individualized sessions that are not writing-centric, but could involve writing. His work in integrative health coaching is a natural extension of his skills and talents and allows clients to benefit from Dr. Evans' experience to address their own personal concerns and areas of development.
