ORGANIZATIONS
International Association for Journal Writing
The Journal Council at IAJW--a group of 30 of the best known journal experts--offer real solutions and practical guidance. We know how to help you get more out of your journaling: to write often, in your own voice, and move into new and deeper territory. To help you find the gold in your journals. To help you know yourself better. To help you make connections, gain insights, see life patterns, and ultimately make the life changes you want--whether it is to improve relationships, to figure out how to move forward through a transition period, to balance your emotions, to improve your health, or to become a better writer. iajw.org (entry created June 2011)
WORKSHOPS
Write to the Center
Write to the Center, founded by Suzanne Montz Adams offers writing workshops that promote personal growth, healing, and insight as a way of transforming and honoring the experiences of your life. Writing deeply and honestly about what matters most to you opens up the tightly closed spaces in your heart and reconnects you with the voice you may have lost, the self you may have buried, the soul you may have forgotten. The workshops are typically offered in eight to ten week classes in and around in Houston, Texas, as ongoing writing/mentoring sessions, and for conference presentations.www.writetothecenter.com(entry created June 2011)
